Confidence intervals for the AUC
Newcombe (2006) compares several 95% confidence intervals for the area under the ROC curve. Methods 2 and 4 are Wald-type intervals; methods 3 and 5 are score-type intervals: they solve for each endpoint, which keeps them inside [0, 1].
